Beacon Red

During lockdown on his daily walks Simon began to look for Red Squirrels on the Beacon in Penrith. His field craft led him to a space that he has now been visiting for over two months every day. He puts out some hazel nuts and has started photographing and filming a Red Squirrel “Red’.

This connection is ongoing and Simon posts regularly about this project on his social media channels. Simon has been interested in the comments from followers and how they have appreciated the chance to connect through him with a Red Squirrel. He will be producing a book later in the year “Beacon Red’ follow his work on his channels.
